VDI là gì?

VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) là giải pháp ảo hóa hạ tầng công nghệ thông tin. Có 2 cách triển khai VDI đó là ảo hóa hạ tầng CNTT tạo ra các máy tính ảo (Virtual Machine) và ảo hóa hạ tầng CNTT tạo ra các phiên sử dụng ứng dụng đặc thù của doanh nghiệp.

VDI được biết đến là một hình thức làm việc từ xa, tuy nhiên giải pháp này còn làm được nhiều hơn thế. Thay vì cấp cho người dùng quyền truy cập vào 1 máy tính từ xa (remote desktop),

Thin Client và Zero Client

Thin Client và Zero Client là 2 khái niệm đi cùng với VDI. Chúng chính là những thiết bị đầu cuối tạo nên một giải pháp VDI tổng thể nhờ việc giúp doanh nghiệp tiết kiệm chi phí đầu tư.

Thin Client nghĩa là máy tính có cấu hình tối thiểu, các máy tính này có kích thước chỉ bằng một quyển sách. Thin Client chỉ đảm nhiệm một số tác vụ cơ bản để truy cập tới máy ảo nằm trên server. CSC có triển khai giải pháp VDI sử dụng Thin Client (CSC Thin Client) giúp khách hàng tối ưu chi phí đầu tư.

Zero Client là công nghệ được phát triển từ Thin Client khi giờ đây máy tính có thể nhỏ bằng chiếc điện thoại, chỉ cần có cổng cắm bàn phím, chuột và dây mạng. Chúng chỉ đơn thuần là bộ phận kết nối các thiết bị ngoại vi như màn hình, bàn phím, chuột với máy ảo nằm trên server.
