Nutanix Move là một giải pháp di động cross-hypervisor để chuyển các máy ảo với downtime tối thiểu. Move hỗ trợ di chuyển từ các nguồn sau sang mục tiêu, một số nền tảng ta có thể sử dụng Nutanix Move như:

• Cụm VMware ESXi đến Nutanix trên AWS và AHV
• VMware ESXi trên hạ tầng cũ sang VMware ESXi trên Nutanix
• Các cụm Microsoft Hyper-V đến Nutanix trên AWS và AHV
• Cụm AWS EC2 đến Nutanix trên AWS và AHV
• AWS EC2 tới VMware ESXi trên Nutanix
• Nutanix AHV đến AWS EC2

Vì hạ tầng bên dưới là khác nhau, nên một thời gian downtime nhỏ sẽ phát sinh trong quá trình migrate từ bất kỳ nguồn nào tới các mục tiêu.

Các thành phần của Move

Sơ đồ trước mô tả kiến trúc phân tán của Move có các thành phần sau.

Nutanix-Move: VM, sắp xếp việc di chuyển và có thể được truy cập bằng Move CLI hoặc Move UI.

Move Agent:(được gọi là -NTNX-MOVE-AGENT) (chỉ dành cho di chuyển AHV sang AWS): Khi di chuyển từ AHV sang AWS, tác nhân Move chạy trên AWS dưới dạng bản sao EC2 của loại t2.medium. Phiên bản tác nhân Move này được triển khai trong mỗi máy ảo nguồn. Tác nhân Move này tương tác với Nutanix-Move, sử dụng API Prism V3 để quản lý snapshoot và tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho việc chuyển dữ liệu từ nguồn sang đích.

Các thành phần Move được sử dụng theo những cách sau:

VMware ESXi đến Nutanix AHV

Khi chuyển máy ảo từ ESXi sang AHV, Nutanix Move giao tiếp trực tiếp với vCenter (vCenter là giao diện quản lý cho các máy ảo chạy trên ESXi hypervisor) thông qua Máy chủ quản lý và Tác nhân nguồn. VMware Guest Tools nên được cài đặt trên các máy ảo nguồn. Tác nhân nguồn thu thập thông tin từ thư viện VMware về các máy ảo đang được di chuyển.

VMware ESXi trên hạ tầng cũ sang VMware ESXi trên Nutanix

Khi chuyển máy ảo từ VMware ESXi trên hạ tầng cũ sang VMware ESXi trên Nutanix, Nutanix Move giao tiếp trực tiếp với Prism (giao diện quản lý cho máy ảo chạy trên AOS) thông qua Máy chủ quản lý và Tác nhân nguồn.

Microsoft Hyper-V tới Nutanix AHV

Khi chuyển máy ảo từ Hyper-V sang AHV, dịch vụ tác nhân Move sẽ được triển khai trên máy chủ Hyper-V. Tác nhân Move này giao tiếp với Tác nhân nguồn và giao tiếp với các máy ảo nguồn để tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho việc di chuyển, hoạt động với máy chủ Hyper-V để t và chuyển dữ liệu từ nguồn sang đích.

AWS EC2 đến Nutanix AOS

Khi chuyển các phiên bản EC2 từ AWS sang AOS (AHV và ESXi), các API trực tiếp của Amazon EBS được sử dụng để thiết lập kết nối giữa AWS và Nutanix Move. Đối với việc truyền dữ liệu cho máy ảo đang được di chuyển (guest VM), Move sẽ tạo snapshoot các ổ đĩa EBS của máy ảo. Kết nối đường dẫn dữ liệu giữa các API trực tiếp của Amazon EBS và Nutanix Move được sử dụng để truyền dữ liệu từ AWS đến Nutanix Cluster mục tiêu.

Nutanix AHV đến AWS EC2

Khi chuyển máy ảo từ AHV sang AWS, Nutanix Guest Tool phải được cài đặt trên máy ảo nguồn và tác nhân Move ( -NTNX-MOVE-AGENT) được triển khai cho từng máy ảo nguồn trên đối tượng đích. Disk Writer chạy như một máy chủ trong tác nhân Move này và bắt đầu kết nối với Disk Reader, đồng thời được sử dụng để ghi dữ liệu trong các phiên bản AWS EC2. Các API Prism V2 được sử dụng để thu thập inventory và các API Prism V3 được sử dụng để quản lý vòng đời snapshoot.
